Volunteer HandbookThe volunteer handbook serves as a guide to CommunityHealth volunteer policies and procedures. Because volunteers are the lifeblood of the health center, we want to ensure that your experience is both enjoyable and meaningful. Please read the handbook carefully and then complete the Receipt of Handbook form.

SchedulingOn our volunteer site, you can check your schedule and service history, sign up for dates, update your information, and view announcements. Log in now.Note: Only volunteers who have attended appropriate orientation sessions can use the scheduling system. If you are a current volunteer and are having trouble logging in, please contact Chrissie Fouts, manager of volunteer services, at 773.969.5923 or cfouts@communityhealth.org.

Training
For the following positions, you must complete a training program before you can volunteer. After you attend volunteer orientation, a CommunityHealth staff member will contact you with details about training for your position.
- Lab
- Pharmacy technician
- Diabetes educator
- Volunteer interpreter
There is one-time $25 fee for volunteer training to cover materials and administrative costs. Volunteers must pay fees prior to enrolling in a training program. If you cannot afford the training program fee, you may apply for a scholarship. You can pay your training fees online.
