The social worker at CommunityHealth helped Fernanda obtain additional services such as clothing and legal assistance.  In time, she found a job at a local laundry that proved to be a perfect fit.  In addition to the income, it gave Fernanda the opportunity to engage with other co-workers and helped lift her out of her isolation.  She arranged for her older son to take care of the younger children while she is at work and when she gets home, he goes to a local community college. What a shining example the big brother has become!

Fernanda is now healthier and feels good about herself, her children and her future.  She thanks CommunityHealth for helping her change the course of her life which, in turn, has set a positive example for her children, her co-workers and others in Fernanda’s community.

Each time Fernanda now comes to the clinic, she shows noticeable improvement.  At her most recent visit she was off the antidepressant and antianxiety medications and had significantly lower blood pressure.  And so the ripple effect continues to grow.
